LASG Rural Development Office Lauds Former SSG, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun’s Dedication To Public Service

Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, Special Adviser on Rural Development felicitates Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun on birthday

The Office of Rural Development, Lagos State, has lauded a chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and former Secretary to the State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Reuben Basorun for his dedication to public service, community development and mentorship of young ones.

Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, in a statement in commemoration of the elder statesman’s 87th birthday today gave the commendations.

“The Lagos State Government Office of Rural Development celebrates Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Reuben Basorun, Ikorodu apex leader, Lagos Governance Advisory Council (GAC) member, and former Secretary to the Lagos State Government, on his birthday, describing him as a symbol of integrity, wisdom, and exemplary leadership.”

In further appreciation and felicitations, the Office of Rural Development lauded Asiwaju Basorun’s lifelong dedication to public service, community development, and political mentorship, noting that his contributions have shaped Lagos State’s governance and inspired generations of leaders significantly.

Dr Nurudeen Yekini Agbaje,S.A. on Rural Development to Gov. Sanwo-Olu prayed for the elder statesman’s constant good health, strength, and fulfilment, while also affirming that his legacy remains a guiding light for progressive leadership in Lagos State and beyond.
